Any reasons why GM did not do a good marketing for promoting SAAB

They are to busy marketing rebates and discounts to get rid of the rest of the junk no one wants

Perhaps they didn;t know who to market it to

Saab is more popular in Europe.They would not market it much in North America because they do not sell/expect to sell too many Saab is here. Not sure about the commercials in Europe though.

Because SAAB is for an entirely different market than any of the other GM brands, and they did not know how.

Cause they suck they would rather promote crappy chevys. GM screwed up SAAB, Ford screwed up JAG.

From what I've seen, they are targeting a more affluent consumer through business, tech and travel magazine ads.

its GM is second most unique brand (second to Hummer), and its a category of vehicle they have never delt with. Saab has improved since they took it, and gone way past Volvo. You see ads a lot in travel magazines going after the business group

GM is screwing up w/ SAAB products to begin with. Their cars can barely compete w/ other luxury marques. They also didnt give a shit to SAAB legacy tilll that ''Born from Jets'' campaign now.
