It seems that car people either love it our hate it. Depending on who you ask.

l think it looks like a confused suitcase with wheels. l wouldnt own one, but they have their charm. The 9-3 is much better in my opinion.

l think it defines love-it-or-hate-it styling, so l say no. It is a generalization, obviously, so your question is really pretty silly. There are 6 billion people, right? l am sure at least one of them is indifferent.

But the generalization fits, and that is what is important.

l have SAAB customers, new and old, and they all love their SAAB's.

Most of them say they will never own any other make.

Some say they will never own a SAAB again.

Once they get them, they fall in love with the car and will only replace the SAAB with a newer SAAB.

They can get costly, but so can most cars once the mileage starts to add up.

Test drive one and see what you think, they are very comfortable and fun to drive.

Saab were never ones to market cars on appearance etc. The 900 was the first modern sedan with discs all round, ventilation filter, split circuit brake hydraulics, seats designed by an orthopaedic surgeon and so tough the only car ever permitted in international rallying without an additional roll cage. But most people choose a car like my wife chooses soft furnishings......

It depends on if you are refering to the new school or old school 900. The new school 900, aka the first generation 9-3 was a very GM vehicle. It was an Opal platform vehicle, whereas the old school 900 was a unique vehicle, so far as l know.

l think the 900 series is loved by the traditionalists. And the ''old'' body style (pre-1995 l think) is preferred over newer 900s

l think they look ok, however l think the 9-5 is a great looking car (if a bit conservative). l have a 2002 9-5 Aero and l love it. It does almost everything well, and so far (knock on wood) l have had few problems.

Saabs of this kind require to have certain things replaced to obtain the long and trouble free mileage. If the owner before you did not replace certain things you may come up against nightmares that prove costly.Timming chains and tensioners are paramount to engine longevity.
