My clutch recently went in my 1998 saab 900. The key got stuck in the ignition due not being able to get into reverse. New clutch was fitted for £700. Key now out of ignition, cant start the car. Mechanics removed the battery to do clutch, but managed to kill the battery, now my key fob does not work either, although the lights do flash on it. The car is only worth £500 but have just spent £700 to not have it running, dont wanna waste loads of money trying out different things, does anyone have any ideas? Garage are not being helpful, and are not taking any responsibility, so no use asking for their help, they are just threatening me to have the car removed. Rather than getting help with a legal battle, does anyone have any ideas how to get the car going again, even if it is completely getting rid of the immobiliser? Many thanks

It only cost about £150 to £250!!
you should burn the car and claim on the insurance!!

key needs re-codiing to car any good garage with autodata will be able to help

Try a new battery in the fob. Make sure the door key lock is in the vertical position (sometimes the key can come out in the horizontal position which wo not let the fob work), does the ignition pop up when the key is removed? Do u have a spare fob to try?

Did the garage hook up the ground wire from the battery to the transmission, if not the starter will not engage, but other things may work, which could also affect the immobilizer.

Is the car cranking & not starting or does it do nothing at all?

Have the garage check some of these thing out, it may be something simple.
