When in drive you will need to move the gear lever to the left, and then you will be able to use the manu-matic mode of your automatic transmission by pushing the lever up or down.

The + and - is for sport mode or tiptronic. Tiptronic is suppose to act like a manual trans. but without the cluch peadl.
Heres how to engage it:
1.when driving move the trans. shifter left into tiptronic
2. move the shifter up to up shift
3. move the shifter down to down shift
