I Have a 2003 Saab 93 conv with 50k The soft top mech stopped working with a soft top failure message. Help?

Hello, l have a 2000 Saab Conv 9-3, & l am going thru the same thing, okay, it can be one of two things, u could just be low on hydraulic fluid & just need to put some in the pump -or- if it is a problem like mine,(GOD forbid) u will probably need to look ur entire convertible system located in the back seat of ur car. In my situation, my hose were burst (a very unusual thing) & l have to replace 4 of them, l called around to the dealer & other places to see how much each hose would & the cheapest l heard was $188 per hose! l almost had a heart attack! But l put a question on this site & someone responded & gave me a number to a Saab place with cheap parts! Hopefully it is just the fluid & not my situation, any who, heres the # to the parts place, l think it is Goldsmith parts. 18007222137, Good luck!

Please let me know where in the travel of the top, your top stops moving and you get the ''top failure'' notice on the SID display. There are micro switches at various places to tell the control valves when to switch. Depending when it stops its travel l can direct you to look, and possibly fix yourself, the offending switch.
