If my check engine light is on and the code is 1105 (mass air flow sensor) can l still drive my car a long distance? l drive a SAAB 9.5 (2.3 L turbo)
l have been using 89 octane fuel.

NO NO NO NO!!!! DO NOT drive your car with a faulty MAF sensor. When a MAF sensor fails it will cause your engine to run very rich, with too much gas in the combustion chambers. Running rich leads to cracked pistons which lead to thousands and thousands of dollars worth of repairs. Spend the $200 now to fix your MAF to save yourself $3k a few weeks from now please. Good luck!

l am replacing many engines right now from people using low octane gas. They are blowing holes in their pistons. You will MESS that motor up with a malfunctioning MAF meter.

Like the other guy said, spend 200 to save 3000!
