I've been told theres a factory saab microphone up right next to the map light in the cabin. I am going to get a fully installed hands free car kit installed, probaly the THB Bury CC 9060. Should l have the installer use the factory microphone next to the map light or use the microphone in the box from the kit?

l know its already pre wired, but the question was, is the saab mic next to the map light better or inferior to other top of the range fully installed hands free kits(eg power, cradle, mic)

Use the factory fitted, it is pre wired . What do you mean by a FULLY INSTALLED handsfree kit. Everything is already there, you get the wiring harness and mounting from Saab plus the handsfree kit of your telephone manufacturer and you are on. Do not waste your time trying different things.

You can do what you think is right. l have sent to you all possible details via email. Why do not you want to use the factory mike? l would suggest that you use that as it has been tried and tested and works very fine.

Most of us will not know about all the other brands in the market hence it is very difficult to give views about things we do not know.

BTW, l am in favor of going the SAAB way instead of trying different things as suggested by Talal.
