Is Saab a brand that you can trust to get a used vehicle with high mileage? l know cars like Volvo and stuff do good with high mileage but l was not sure about Saab?

In general, any car that is well maintained will 'do good' with high mileage.

Have a mechaic you trust check the car out before you buy it.

I, personally, do not think Saab is that reliable a car.

l agree with unreliableness of saab.i just got rid of mine b/c it was such a piece of crap and it only had 40k on it and it was 1999...

maybe l just got a bad apple...but every time l think of all the money l wasted on it in the shop..my blood boils

SAAB is a very reliable car, and a good deal since many people think they are crap. They aren't. l have had three l put over 250k on, without too much expense.

Make sure to find one that have service records available. If you are looking at a 9-3, stay with a pre-03, as the build quality was much better.

Yes, yes, yes. l disagree with the sentiment that Saabs r unreliable. Vehicles need proper maintenance like anything else. l would say that l only took care of normal items that were routine for the mileage l put on my vehicles, i.e., no calamities occurred. As has been previously stated make sure u find one that has been taken care of & has service records to prove it. The only Saab vehicles l would stay away from r any of the 900 is launched in 1994 - 1998 with the V6 engine which was horrible. GM thought they could attract an audience it could not previously reach. they turned off far more than they attracted.

l normally compare cars to human beings & mechanics to doctors. SAAB is a very reliable car. l has not let me down in 12 years & this is my 5th SAAB since then. As all human beings SAAB needs caring as u would care for ur own body. Misuse the body & do not take care of it & u will end up in hospital. However, on a used car the problem is always past upkeep & care of the vehicle & it is any vehicle. Have a look at the previous history of the car to ensure that it has been well maintained. Let a SAAB tech give u a report & if all is well go for it. You will love SAAB forever, please keep in mind that an old car will always have wear & tear & u may have to spend some to bring it up to the mark.

l will not agree with them being a good car l got one with perfect service every 10,000 since new it had 230,000km when l git it in 6 months and 30,000km it cost me over 8,000 to keep it going biggest lemon on the road the should stick to making trucks

l love my Saab 95 Aero and l have to agree with the other that Saab is a great car but like any other car they need to be maintained. l think all of us true Saab lovers and owners have a soft spot for these great cars it is a Saab thing.
l used to own a Saab 9000 Areo too !
