l have a very nice 1991 saab that l just bought and after putting 200 miles on it, it is having an issue running. it is not mechanical....the car runs and at high rpms it is a little rough and when it is warmed up at idle it will continually stall and is hard to start.l unplugged the mass airflow sensor and it runs worse...i plan on changing the fuel filter tomorrow morning.my concern is that it is a vaccuum or something of that nature...any idea's....?
getting goodand l appreciate them all ..... even the humor....so ok...i've ordered the mass air flow sensor/tube.... so...my car is running...It will run as long as it is cold...not really an issue although now that i've spend a little more time with her....when i'm going lets say 45...i notice a little surge in the accelorator...being that the rpm is will wanna gain and drop ...no noticiable on the tach but noticiable in the way it is running.....just a surge...but again it will run and seems to run better when it is cold...thank god for the cold front that has come in....It warms up fine and the temp seems to be working and well within range...and by the way...l still love the car...it came with the service book and was well maintained having all the service done up to 108,000 miles was the last one done at the place of purchase.....it was garaged kept as well....no rust and no body damage...thanks again for all who have commented...i really appreciate it.

check your fuses see if there is a seperate fuse for the fuel pump and the ignition system if the fuse for the pump is out on the low pressure pump it can affect running at low rpm and there are two pumps one is low pressure the other is high pressure if either have died the car will not run properly and they do go out for no reason other than it was tuesday at 4:00pm, these are the scurge of the Saab design and all Saaber is hate them with a passion!
