l cannot turn my key at all!
HELP!!
We tried jump starting it and charging but it still wont unlock or let me turn my key.

on the positive battery cable there is a black box with a little round button on it.Its a circuit breaker.push the little button to reset it.maybe this will help.

If you jump the battery and then put the key into the ignition (without turning the key) you should hear a clicking (unlocking) sound coming from the bottom of the steering column. If you do not then the steering column lock module may be faulty.

l assume the 9-3 is an automatic? You now have the battery recharged or replaced? What does your ''information display'' show?

is it the steering wheel itself thats locked (wont move at all) or is it showing up on the info display? because l found in my 1994 900s saab, there were shit loads of various things that showed up on the info display or warning lights, that showed up for some reason or another that might not have been wrong, it was just the diagnostic system messing up. before l got rid of it, it would warn me my parking break was on when it wasn't. sometimes l would get rear light failure when l started the car & would not do it for several times then show up again randomly for no apparent reason.

You cannot do any thing yourself. You need to take the car to the dealer. He will check with Tech 2 if any DTC is are stored or not. If stored then he will follow the DTC is to remedy the fault. If there are no DTC is stored then there is a procedure to follow and this can only be done through TECH 2. It may require to change the CIM ( Column control Module) or ICM ( Ignition Control Module). The key lock is a anti theft function.
