should l buy the hatchback with 101,000 mi, the owner has the records in a book, it appears to be very clean and well maintained..the reason im asking is because ive heard mixed reviews about the cars reliability, and this being my first car...i want it to hold up for years

My first car was a 99 saab 900 turbo and it was the best car ever. l did not have any problems and it ran great. The other good thing about it was it was great in accidents. l got hit in it and there was no damage to my car just theirs.

Great car!! Just do your maintenance, stay on top of your oil changes ( 5k w/Mobil 1), warm it up before you get on it too much and keep your filters clean. You should get another 100k of trouble free miles.

Do make sure you find a good independent SAAB mechanic in your area (check saabnet.com). These cars are VERY safe and VERY fun to drive!!!

If their records are accurate and done in a timely manner l would not thik twice. My mom has owned an '89 900SE and a '95 900S. l own a '95 900 SE. In my experience if the records look legit and in order it would not be a problem.
