2001 saab 9-3 check engine lite on. car wont start and stalls unless keep foot on gas

you might need to clean the injectors

you may have two problems:
1. Check first for vacuum leaks.
2. Throttle body needs cleaning or replacement. Any problem will put car in limp home mode, this will let you drive the car at low speeds but will vibrate, cut off etc.

eather the vacume/air system or the throttle position censor like the other guy said. and/or your throttle cable could be loose

your throttle body is in limp home mode.This is a common problem.you need to replace the throttle body.

First things first! That is the only way to keep from spending money doing things that do not fix ur car. First thing l would do as a tech is find out what code the car is giving (when the check engine lite is on there is a code) & from there l would follow a diagnostic flowchart for that code. If u do this u will find the problem the first time & maybe save a whole lot of money & aggravation

My guess would be
1) mass airflow sensor or map sensor depending on which one the car uses
2)leaking air intake hose
