l have a 2003 SAAB Linear 2.3t (185hp) and l would like to sex it up a bit. l was thinking about the stage 3 BSR tuning but l heard that it’s not good for your car. Perhaps a better idea would be to put in a new turbo charger, the one they put on SAAB Aero (260hp), but l know that l will have to make other modifications to my car in order for that turbo to operate. l would need a new exhaust system and a downpipe with sports cat + different fuel injectors. Am l missing something? Turn SAAB Linear into Aero - does it sound like a doable project? Do l have to make any modifications to the engine?

go to hirschperformance .com and see what is required to upgrade your car. The good thing is that Hirsch Performance upgrade does not affect your manufacturers warranty.

Hirsch does not sell in the U.S. BSR is a Swedish company that does. Genuinesaab.com is a distributor. You can do stage 1 for about US$800-900 & it will boost it to about 205 hp, which is just a few horses away from the 2003 Aero level (210). Do not overlook getting the best tires.

I'd even consider stage 2. Stage 3 is a bit extreme to me. Using a 260 hp Aero turbo (a V-6 engine) is not worth it. Too many modifications. Will probably even have to rewrite the software. If u can do that, u can probably turn ur car into the Batmobile.

l would just go get an Aero.

If you really like your Linear (or its an automatic), l would just upgrade the wheels and tires, add a swaybar, replace the entire muffler from the turbo back.
