l have a 1999 Saab 9-5 and the a/c doesnt work. l have checked the codes for the ACC and there isnt one. l had previously replaced the broken arm on the heater box, and now the 08 code is gone. l charged it today and still nothing. you can hear the compressor come on, so thats not frozen up. Please help!
**UPDATE** Thanks for theboth of you, very good points. My father got a chance to check it today, apparently there was air in the lines and it would let the system circulate the freon through. once he release the air pressure it charged fine! Problem Solved

Hi, if you can hear the compressor working, you need to see that the dryer bottle is ok or not. This is a filter on the A/C system which could be choked. In addition, please make sure that you charged the system with the correct Freon, it should R 134A. Also, see that the evaporator and the condensor are okay and not leaking, a leak test will make sure of that.
