bad idea my mom got a 07 saab 9-3 convertable and its always at the shop repairs cause everything breaks on it the 9-3 even had a brake recall either in 07 or 06 l suggest u leer away from it

the saab 9-3 is just a rebadged vauxhall vectra, an entry range 4 door saloon. stay away from it.

SAAB 9-3 MY-08 is a fantastic looking car and the AERO model has eveyrthing it takes. The Linear, ARC and the Vector models have different engines and different options which makes it eay to chose a car to suit your budget. Go for it mate you will not regret it. Have it maintained at the given service intervals and this car will last over 300000 miles. Very reliable and safe.

Make sure it gets regular gas and do not expect a good resale value.that is why l bought a CPO at 1.9% instead as someone else already took the depreciation hit. l have not needed any repairs and it came with a 6 yr/100k warranty.

There are far better cars that retain their value than a Saab such as Mercedes and Lexus. Check edmunds.com and consumerreports.org before you visit a dealer to be seduced.

Older SAAB cars would run forever, but l would stay away from the newer ones. They are not SAABs anymore. They depreciate rapidly, parts are expensive, and they have alot of problems. Money would be well spent elsewhere.

The first year it came out was 2003. That was a lousy year to get. It was not until 2005 that all the problems were discovered & re-designed. 2004 is in between.

If u want a safe car, see http://highwaysafety.org for US crash tests. In Europe, it is the Euro NCAP. For US tests, the 9-3 has one of the best crash test of any car.

That organization also highly ranks the Honda Accord, Audi A3 & A4 & A6, Ford Taurus, & Subaru Legacy.

The 9-3 is a bit more expensive than the Honda Accord. So check u budget. If u want to impress ur dates, a 9-3 is more impressive than a Honda Accord. However, if u live far away from a dealer, think hard if u really want it. It is not impossible but it is more trouble that way.
