l just purchased a key for my 2003 Saab 9-3 and l can not seem to find a locksmith that can program the remote key for this car. Does anyone know of any locksmiths in Los Angeles that can do this? l just REALLY do not wanna go to the dealer and pay over $100.

Sorry, l think you're going to have to bring it to the dealer. Are u sure they're going to charge u $100? It takes about 10 minutes. Anyway, the reason u need to take it to the dealer is it requires a ''Tech-II'' computer. This is a system made specifically for Saabs & costs around $2500, probably more. No locksmith is going to pay that kind of money for the few Saab owners that come in with keys needing to be reprogrammed. Sorry for the bad news, but definitely call & see how much it will cost. l brought my 9-5 key in to have the battery replaced. The guy broke my key so they replaced it. Aside from me needing to go get my other key it took him 10 minutes to cut & program the new one to my car. I'd be surprised if they really charge u that much. That is absurd. Good luck!
